Inclusion and the Curriculum

Moving authentic education forward

On Thursday October 18, Family Advocacy’s Learning and Development team hosted a practical workshop, lead by Bob Jackson–one of Australia’s leading experts on building inclusion through skills development–to ensure parents and teachers are well prepared to deliver the best outcomes for students with disability.

Designed to go beyond the traditional approaches and move inclusive education forward this workshop unpacked how authentic inclusion ‘actually’ works in regular classrooms. The goal is to move on from “reasonable adjustments” to the more inclusive concept of universal design.

Watch this space for a review of the key takeaways from the day.
